Zoom Workshop Semester 1

DATES: 20th February, 20th March, 17th April, 29th May

We’re calling our first brand new project for 2027 “TULIPANA COTTAGE”. 

It’s the named after a sun-drenched country garden with a sweeping expanse of bright pink tulips.
This idyllic landscape, which exists in our imagination, will be the inspiration for our series of 4 monthly classes.

Our project will be created using our signature Forage style of combining simple stitches with reclaimed fabric.

We’re going to stitch a triptych of small (40x40cm) artworks which will be based upon a picturesque countryside scene - a blooming garden, a pond, a woodland all surround an ivy clad cottage.

We’re going to concentrate our attention on specific details in that scene and “magnify” them… zoom in, get closer and capture the small details that can be seen upon closer examination.

A full kit to complete the whole project will be sent to you prior to the class.

This is an online workshop consisting of 4 live zoom lessons and a kit of materials.

Lisa will guide you through design elements and layout, stitching, beading and embroidery techniques to make a textile artwork you'll be proud of!

The workshop is suitable for beginner to advanced students - you'll earn via 4 live zoom classes with Lisa Mattock and Lara Moo who will guide you through the process and techniques as well as giving you the opportunity to see what others in the class are doing. Recordings of the classes will be permanently available for you to refer back to.

KIT: The price includes a kit of materials.  IMPORTANT: Please make sure your mailing address is correct on our Shopify store. This is the address your kit will be posted to.

WHEN ARE THE LIVE CLASSES? Dates of the Zoom classes are 20th February, 20th March, 17th April, 29th May. They will commence at 8am Sydney time. A reminder and time conversion will be emailed each month.

CAN I START AFTER THE FIRST CLASS? Yes you can.  Recordings of all of the live zoom classes will be made permanently available to you on your account on our School of SlowStitching.

IMPORTANT:  Please make sure the address in your Shop or Forage Shopify account is correct. This is where your kit will be posted to.
