This is a length of antique embroidered insertion or border trim intended for a garment or household linen, most likely dating from c. 1900–1925.

It measures 90x12.5cm - the embroidered pattern is 3cm wide  

The design combines several fashionable early-20th-century techniques:

• Fine sheer cotton batiste or lawn ground.

• Geometric drawn-thread/pulled-thread work forming the open mesh panels.

• Raised satin-stitch embroidery.

• Small connecting floral motifs.

• A repeating Greek Key (meander) pattern, which became very fashionable during the Edwardian and early Art Deco periods.
