Item 26-004 Scissor Event

This pair of scissors were most likely made in France or Germany.

The decorative casting of these scissors suggests they were likely produced in:

• Nogent, France, a major centre of fine sewing tools.

• Solingen, Germany, famous for steel goods and export scissors.

The overall proportions and elegant handle design are very reminiscent of French mercerie scissors sold through sewing and embroidery shops.

These would have been used for:

They are appropriately 9cm long.
