The monograms featured in this “special event” as part of our weekly FLEA MARKET have been collected by us, over many years of foraging in France.
They are hand stitched treasures from yesteryear and we’ve salvaged them from household linens like bed sheets, tea towels, aprons, and table napery.

A charming piece of fine natural linen, approximately 25 × 40 cm, hand embroidered with the initials in tiny red cross stitch.
The simple red marking is typical of traditional French household linens, where initials were used to identify a family’s washing.
Nicely aged with a beautifully soft, slightly timeworn appearance.
