A charming collection of vintage French sewing notions in an old friand tin that we think would make a perfect pincushion!
Nestled inside are gorgeous little pieces of French mercerie history that we have found during our adventures in the French markets.
There’s a beautifully patinated pair of small steel needlework scissors, metal thimble and two original cards of French darning wool, including Laine St Pierre in soft réséda green.
Dating largely from the mid-20th century, these are lovely survivors from an era when clothing was routinely darned, repaired and kept in use.
