Antique Passementerie Lace Motif — c.1900–1920s

An unusual large decorative appliqué worked in ecru thread, combining fine netted and needlework sections with raised, corded outlines. 

The elaborate scrolling floral design is characteristic of early 20th-century passementerie and would originally have been used as a decorative dress or furnishing embellishment. 

Approximately 20 x 20cm, with some age-related wear adding to its character.
