Antique Lace & Linen Cuff

A beautiful antique dress or blouse cuff, likely dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian period, c.1890–1910. 

Made from fine white cotton or linen lawn, it features a particularly lovely panel of handmade Irish crochet-style lace, with raised floral and leaf motifs worked over an open mesh ground. Fine pintucks and a softly gathered frill finish the upper section, while three small fabric-covered buttons remain along one side.

The combination of elaborate dimensional lace and very fine fabric suggests this was originally part of a good-quality blouse or under-bodice. Approximately 17 cm wide. Some age-related discolouration and wear add to its authentic character.
