Antique Lace-Trimmed Camisole/Bodice Fragment

A delicate antique white cotton or fine linen camisole/bodice section measuring 64 x 30cm, probably dating from the Edwardian to 1920s period. 

It features a generous band of cream machine-made lace, with particularly pretty elongated inset panels combining openwork lace with fine white-on-white floral embroidery.

Likely originally part of a woman’s chemise, camisole or corset cover, the surviving section has wonderful potential for repurposing in slow stitching and textile collage. 

The soft, time-worn fabric and gentle age marks add to its character; sold as an antique textile fragment rather than a wearable garment.
