Vintage French JTPF Linen Thread 

A wonderful original French spool of linen thread from JTPF, Lille, still wrapped in its beautifully printed paper packaging with horse trademark. Labelled “Thirez – 3000 yards / 2742 mètres” and No. 40, it is a particularly evocative piece of old French haberdashery.

Composition: Most likely linen thread (fil de lin), wound on a cylindrical core with original paper wrapper.

Date: Likely early–mid 20th century.

Special details: The intact period packaging, typography, horse emblem and Lille provenance make this as desirable as a decorative collectible as it is for textile enthusiasts.
