Antique Lace & Embroidered Dress Panel that measures 30 x 20cm 

A wonderfully timeworn antique dress or lingerie panel, probably Edwardian to 1920s, combining very fine net lace with a central panel of sheer cotton or linen. 

The centre features delicate whitework embroidery and inserted lace medallions, surrounded by generously gathered floral lace.

Composition: Fine cotton or linen lawn with cotton net lace and embroidery.

Special details: The inserted geometric lace motifs and extensive gathered lace are particularly lovely. There is considerable age-related foxing, staining and discolouration which we haven’t attempted to soak.
