Antique Child’s Whitework Blouse – c.1900–1920

A charming little Edwardian child’s blouse or smock in fine white cotton, beautifully decorated with rows of floral broderie anglaise (whitework). 

It has a gathered yoke, wonderfully full sleeves and two small mother-of-pearl style buttons at the back. The tiny scale and generous hand-finished detailing make this a particularly lovely example of early children’s clothing.

It measures 25cm from neck to hem. 

Gentle age and wear consistent with an antique textile.
