Antique Linen Boudoir Cap – c.1910–1920s

A beautiful Edwardian/early 1920s boudoir or night cap, made from very fine ivory linen with delicate handmade lace insertion, tiny hand-worked details and softly gathered sections. Finished with a lovely silk ribbon band and bow with long trailing ties. These caps were worn in the bedroom to protect a lady’s hair and were often beautifully made as part of a trousseau.

A wonderfully delicate survivor with gentle signs of age and wear consistent with its history.
