Antique Lace Appliqué Motifs — c.1900–1920

A beautiful little collection of three antique lace motifs, carefully salvaged from early 20th-century textiles.

The pair of matching floral sprays feature three wonderfully dimensional flowers surrounded by delicate openwork leaves. The flower petals are densely wrapped in silky thread, creating tiny raised rings, while the leaves are worked much more lightly with an open mesh filling. This contrast gives these little motifs wonderful texture.
