This is an attractive original French vintage haberdashery display card of Koh-i-noor Paris sew-through buttons, dating from around 1949–1955.
Complete cards like this are increasingly sought after because they preserve both the buttons and the colourful advertising graphics.
An intact display card with its original graphics and 1940s printing is becoming increasingly difficult to find. It is a charming example of post-war French mercery packaging
The header reads:
• Koh-i-noor Paris
• Bouton Parfait (“Perfect Button”)
• Fabrication Française (“French Manufacture”)
At the centre is the familiar Koh-i-noor company trademark—a child’s face surrounded by the words “Symbole de Qualité” (“Symbol of Quality”), a logo used on many of the company’s mid-20th century haberdashery products.
Each small packet also bears the words:
• Garanti inoxydable – Guaranteed rustproof.
• Coupon Prime – indicating that purchasers could collect coupons as part of a customer loyalty or promotional scheme.
