We are so excited to be returning to Huntsville in the Fall of 2024!
We’ve planned a special workshop itinerary which includes classes with Lisa (SlowStitching) and two esteemed tutors from the stitching industry Connie Palmer, and Audra Kennedy.
You will spend two days with Lisa on the Gertrudes Garden SlowStitch workshop (Hand Stitching) and 2 days with Connie on her Heirloom Sewing workshop (Machine Stitching)
We will be using two locations for our classes:
*Homewood Suites for Lisa's & Audra’s students.
*For Connie's workshops we're being generously hosted by Tony at S & R Sewing Centre where there will be plenty of space for everyone to work on sewing machines:

In this class, Lisa shares how to make a myriad of beautiful floral creations with a combination of bright bold colours, simple stitches, layered shapes and treasures from granny’s button box! You’ll start working on the floral blocks and then discuss background fabrics and ideas. As with all of Lisa’s projects, you’ll be free to use your own ideas and preferences with guidance and advice from her. The Materials Kit for this workshop is included in the price. Connie is a designer, author and an international sewing instructor who specializes in heirloom sewing and children’s clothing construction.
Connie will take you through how to use your sewing machine as you create a sampler using a variety of techniques such as:
Lace to lace
Lace to entredeux
Pintucks (done in the round)
Madeira Appliqué
Puffing
Folded tucks
Lace shaping
Pinstitch
Wing needle work
