Forage Workshop Retreat Geelong 28-29 June 2024

Forage is hosting a two day, two project workshop with Lisa Mattock in Geelong at the end of June! The price includes two workshops, all materials and meals. Here are the details:

Dates: Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June 2024 10am - 4pm

Venue: Rydges Hotel Geelong

Meal Inclusions: Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea at Rydges both days

Workshops:

Day One: "Simple Circles" workshop - a brand new project! Using a circular shape as our inspiration we deep dive into surface embellishment using simple stitching techniques, beading and layering.
Students choose between warm and cool palette.
You’ll love this class if you enjoy a modern aesthetic which combines screen printed linen, reclaimed silk fibres, touches of shimmery glitz and becoming immersed into the “more is more” style of embellishment!

Day Two: "Antique Quilt Huswif". A piece of 1920’s hand stitched quilt combined with pieces of vintage French fabrics is our starting point for creating a huswif/project pouch.
This huswif can then be personalized to suit your traveling storage needs.

Materials: A full materials kit is provided for both workshops - all you'll need to bring are your basic sewing tools.
