Workshops

Different SLOW STITCH workshops to inspire and delight....

101- Introductory class

Lisa recommends you do this workshop before any of the "themed" ones. She will share with you her journey thus far and some of the special treasures that have caught her eye and inspired her along the way.

Have a rummage through those gorgeous old linens that grandma gave you (or the local op shop!), bring them along and learn the art of repurposing  them in a contemporary, unique way.

No previous stitching experience is necessary, but is of course welcome.

The classes are designed so that there is no "one size fits all". There are no templates to follow and definitely no right or wrong way to approach your Slow Stitch project.

After the class, whether you have a few moments or hours to give to your Slow Stitching, you will no doubt find that like many of life's great pleasures, the quiet moments you have indulged in will be a recipe for calmness and promote further creativity.

Christmas

Whether you keep them for yourself, or gift them to others, the projects that Lisa shares with you in her Christmas themed workshop will get you in the spirit of the festive season.

Tree decorations, soft furnishing accessories, and trimmings to use around the home....

Fa lalalala lalalala!

Wreaths are not just for Christmas

Inspired by the motif of a wreath, we turn away from its traditional use as a Christmas decoration and give it a twist that can be used all year round.

We will stitch boldly, add decorative elements and there won't be a jiggle bell in sight!

Taking inspiration from Japanese design and textiles

Lisa has a lifelong love of Japanese design elements and textiles. The older, the better!

Your goody bag, which is included in your class fee, will have a selection of Lisa's personal stash of Japanese textiles for you to create with.

We will embrace the strong repurposing ethos that exists, and explore design elements used by artisans within this fascinating culture.
