Vintage/antique red velvet covered box of bone sewing tools, vintage condition.

The box is a hexagonal shape, and covered in red piled fabric with a fancy gilt metal clasp.  Inside is lined in red velvet, over a red silk under-lining.  Base is covered in black paper.  Probably dates to the  early 20th century.

Box size approx.  21 x 14.5 cm

The inside is fitted with a set of sewing tools including crochet hooks, button hook, awl, flat awl, scissors, and thimble.  Three packets of needles and a pair of bone knitting needles are tucked into the slots in the lid.  

Condition:  Vintage condition.  The plush fabric on the outside is very worn, especially at the edges.   The needles and the metal parts of the tools show signs of age/tarnish, so probably for display rather than for use.
