Class dates 2024 semester 2: July 11th, August 8th, September 12th, November 14th.

Ignite your passion for re-using vintage and antique textiles to make pieces you'll treasure!

This is a class for newcomers to SlowStitching! You'll learn everything you need to know to get started:

HOW TO GET STARTED WITH SLOW STITCHING: From the fabrics you'll need, to the best needles and threads to use, we'll cover all the essentials to get you started on your slow stitching project:

HOW TO CREATE YOUR BACKGROUND PANEL: We'll show you how to arrange your fabrics to create a lovely textured background, then stitch them in place using the simplest of stitches.

HOW TO EMBELLISH YOUR BACKGROUND WITH TREASURED FABRIC PIECES: We'll show you inspirational ideas for adding embellishments to your background panel using colourful fabrics and easy to learn stitches. 

WAYS TO USE YOUR STITCHED PANEL:From quilts to cushions and much more, we'll show you ways you can use your stitched projects to create beautiful objects for your home, or for giving. 

Included Materials:  A kit of materials to make your choice of 101 in-class project.

You will need: Basic sewing supplies as well as any bits and pieces of textile treasures you would like to use.

Forage In-House Class Terms and Conditions:

*Booking price includes 4 classes plus any materials specified in the class information

*Maximum 8 students per class

*Classes are strictly non-refundable. One make-up class per semester in a similar class is offered if there is space in another class.

*Our classes are run from our studio at 39/7 Narabang Way, Belrose, 2085. They are 4 hours, 10am-2pm and include morning tea (byo lunch). Parking and disabled parking are available.

*We have two semesters per year:

Semester 1: January to June. Semester 2: July to December. Workshops will be booked as 4-classes per semester to allow for our travel and Christmas holidays.

*Preference is given to existing students to re-book into the following semester during the final week of their class.
